This course is designed to provide Board-approved instruction in coronal polishing for those seeking licensure as a Registered Dental Assisting. Only a RDA can perform coronal polish, however, certification must be completed prior to taking State Board examinations to obtain licensure. This two-day certification course provides all required didactic, lab, and clinical instruction required including oral anatomy review, instrumentation and oral hygiene instruction, identification of stain and proper removal techniques.
All participants must have taken or be concurrently enrolled in an 8-hour infection control certification course, Dental Practice Act, and CPR** prior to performance of coronal polish on patients. This course is provided on two consecutive days.
Students are required to wear scrubs on both days for participation in the clinical lab portion of the course in accordance with certification requirements. Course materials are provided on the first day of class. Course instructor will send out a confirmation email to each registered student one week prior to the course start date.

**Current BLS Certification (Healthcare Provider course only) – Please bring a copy of your certification card with you on the day of the course. This copy is needed before a Certification of Completion can be issued.**
